I bet no one can fully describe the depth of joy parents experience seeing their children grow beautifully taking every step of life boldly with shining stars all over them. One of such moments was again ignited with our special showbiz personality, a media mogul, MO ABUDU. Few days back she shared some pictures of a huge throw back on her daughter (Temidayo Abudu’s) two-year birthday. As much as I try to envision what was going on in her mind sharing pictures of as far back as two-year-old, I realized that she alone can categorically explain a bit of it. Because, having listened to a few mothers express the joy of nurturing their children to adulthood, especially at events like convocation ceremonies, award winning ceremonies or wedding ceremonies, I realized that even these mothers could not totally describe in words how they felt through the years till this moment of glam they always had anticipated. May I just say that the feeling is priceless! Same can be said for Mo Abudu as her daughter got traditionally wedded on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
As much as we love to talk about Mo, the person of our fancy right now is her daughter, the bride, Temiday Abudu, also a media personality, a producer at the Ebonylife TV popularly known as Temidayo ‘Ted’ Abudu traditionally said yes to her lover, friend and fiance, Adebola Makanjuola, the son of billionaire businessman, Remi Makanjuola the Chairman of Caverton Offshore Support Group; Adebola works as a project manager at Visionscape – a sanitation solution company owned by his family.
For as many who could not be in attendance, may I make bold to say that the lovely pictures from the event alone tells the story of an indeed glamorous evening as the event was pleasantly packaged by Zapphire Events & Elizabeth_r_events planners. The venue, decoration, servings, music and guests were topnotch.
The bride of the day, Temidayo, was styled in a cream color custom traditional outfit designed and made by Couture by Tabik for the main ceremony, the fabric was by Foradora fabrics, the head gear (gele) was styled by Taiwos touch, after which she changed into a gorgeous floral embellished dress, then a silver sequin number for the afterparty. Her makeup was flawless, done by Bimpe Onakoya. She was all shades of elegance; her steps and smile spoke of confidence and excitement beyond words can justify.
The groom, Adebola was richly dressed in cream colour traditional wear not excluding the “agbada”, accessorized with traditional beads on his neck and wrist, likewise the aso-oke………
Mo Abudu herself was not letting off the chance to show off her joy and pride of the moment in eye-dazzling fashion. She wore a chantility lace from Bisola Osagie, designed by Lanre Dasilva Ajayi, Alari aso-oke by Kijipa Couture, jewelry by Veenu, her gele and makeup was perfected by Bankspmpro makeup & skin, we noticed her hands tattoed with some of the best Northern body and beauty secrets and accessories by The henna Place.
The aso ebi guests and celebrities in attendance were all gorgeously dressed in the various shades of pink, showing off their various styles that made series of fashion statements that brightened up the event to its height of pleasure.
The guest artist performances were mind blowing. Burna Boy made the bride and guests flaunt their steps in style, to name a few.
From our desk, pen and paper, we wish Temidayo and Adebola beautiful years ahead as we look forward to sharing the details of the forthcoming white wedding ceremony scheduled to hold some time later in the year.
